CLINICAL SAFETY ALERT:
SEALS now reporting most therapeutic drug results in mass units.
Since 14th August 2014 results for therapeutic drugs have been already reported by SEALS in both molar and mass units in order to help clinicians adapt to the new mass units recommended by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemistry and the Australasian Society for Clinical and Experimental Toxicology. The aim of this national harmonization and patient safety initiative is to report therapeutic drug measurements from all laboratories in Australia in the same standardised units to avoid clinical errors.
